Functional Lab Testing Menu

Lab testing can show what symptoms alone may not: how your body produces and clears hormones, which nutrients are running low, how your blood sugar and cholesterol are trending, and what is living in your gut. Every test on this menu is available to Rooted members, and each one is ordered only when its results may change the direction of your care.

  1. 1

    We order together.

In session, we look at your symptoms, history, and any recent labs to choose the tests most likely to change your plan.

  2. 2

    You complete the test.

Most tests are ordered through your Fullscript client account. Home kits ship to you, and blood panels come with a requisition for a Quest or Labcorp location near you.

  3. 3

    We discuss your results.

We walk through your results in session and turn them into specific changes to your nutrition, supplements, and training plans.

Using insurance? Standard blood panels may be covered by your insurance when your doctor orders them. Specialty/Functional tests are typically not covered.

Cost and payment: You can pay for labs when you order through your Fullscript client account or directly with the testing company. All labwork orders are separate from your membership fee. Functional labs are typically not eligible for insurance reimbursement, though most are FSA/HSA eligible. We can discuss pricing together in session before anything is ordered.
